Parametric sonars
The SIMP-VAP System is a Sonar apparatus designed for research with the ability to explore even in the Sub-Bottom. By employing simultaneous bi-frequency transmissions, it exploits the propagation phenomenon of parametric waves that guarantee significant penetration capacity into the bottom. In this configuration, the Video-Acoustic capacity allows the detection of semi-submerged targets both of the exposed part and of that wrapped in the sub-bottom. A key feature is the compactness that allows use by divers.
